Waste pickup ideas

Wondering if anyone has an idea or something that they have done to make it easier to get all the random pieces of filament that are under the plate and lay just on the floor. Is there a print that I can do like a little bucket to help with that or just suffer and pick it up every time.

There are a couple options for this.

There is a door ramp that helps to get the pieces out of the floor of the printer.

Or there is a scoop that helps to collect the refuse.

Personally I found that the poop door extension made a big difference decreasing the amount of poop that doesn’t make it down the shoot.

vacuum cleaner or shop vacuum and a crevice nozzle/dusting brush

A mini vaccum from Amazon will work. Plus it can be used to clean up the desk, places around the printer, etc.

i dont really have many pieces at the bottom of my printer. very rarely.

I just got my printer so I’m not sure how much I’ll have to deal with that, but with all the features I’d rather have to do a little clean up, but it does seem so weird that such an advanced machine has so much random spots for filament to go. Such as the poop shoot out the back. Mine is on a metro shelf system so I’ll have to design something to hang off the back.

There are ton of poop shoots that you can have magnetic to the back of the printer or have some type of shooter involved with it.

Cool. Good idea. I’ll see if I can find one or design my own.

I was wondering if someone had a little trash can to help collect.

Look around, you probably have a flat sided container that will sit under the chute. I cut the top off of a large rectangular peanut jar. The clear sides help me see the poop level. Even a cut-down cereal box would work.

There isn’t one. I just rifled through it all again. I’ll do something like you did. I’ll try to find the right shaped product for my situation. Thank you
