Waste still generated with flush into object active

I’m experimenting with the flush into object option. I have a multicolored object and have added a few others with the “flush into object” option ticked. When I slice the plate, there is no “flushed” column in the filament view, so I assumed all the scraps should go into the selected objects. However, the printer still poops a certain amount.

Why can this happen? Is there a way to check for each layer if there is still something being flushed that isn’t going into the objects?

I could be wrong, but I think it will still poop some as it needs to make sure it has a good flow of the new filament coming out.

Isn’t that the purpose of the prime tower?

I believe the tower makes sure the color change is successful. The poop just makes sure its got filament flowing. At least that is how I have understood it.

Anyway, the question is still the same. If there is nothing in the “flushed” column after slicing, why do I still have poop? I’m assuming that every action in slicing is precalculated, so I should be able to see the amount that is wasted.

Ops perhaps I misunderstood you Re flush volume
