Water spray kit auto-fill

Hi. I’d like to design a model using water spray kit and i realised their’s two kits. The Water spray kit 02 doesn’t have an auto-fill, as opposed to the 01. But what is exectly auto-fill? Tried to read the documentation but nothing helpfull. Can some one help me with some details please?

According to the documentation…

The kit also includes a water pump that automatically draws water from open sources into the tank, reducing the need for users to detach it for refills.

From the pictures it looks like the outlined section in the bottom right.

I bought one of these, but, I have not opened it yet.

Update

I have opened mine and I have the two parts shown in the bottom right outlined section.

This is the difference between the two packs from the photos they supplied.

I saw this when I found the Turret Water Sprayer in the Cyberbrick compatible category. It looked like fun, but I decided to hold off until I actually had my hands on the Cyberbrick kits and confirm basic functionality first.

You mean this one from my friend @MaKim, he is the man!

He raised the quality bar with this one.

It is an excellent use of CyberBrick and the perfect way to demonstrate the options available to designers who seek more than just vehicles.

Thanks! The sprayer hardware works really well and can shoot a long way. It is quite loud but I don’t think that will be an issue for most people since it’s an outdoor toy.

I can confirm that the water pump is optional. Since I didn’t use it in my project, I’m going to try to find some other use for it.

The auto fill part is just a pump and a switch that are separate from the primary water sprayer parts. You can plumb the pump to a reservoir so when the switch is triggered, it sucks water in to fill the reservoir connected to the sprayer.

Exactly so! I’m trying to figure out if I can mount this on a Walking Crab!!!

Seriously. Won’t need the Turret, just turn the crab. However, the tilting servo might not be an option with the four servo channels consumed by the legs…

CORRECTION: Looking at the Crab wiring it appears that it is only using two motor channels and none of the Servo channels. Hmmmm, I see a vicious Crab making an appearance in the future!

Yeah, I wanted to build something similar to @MaKim’s turret. I was really hyped by his model, such a great use for all thoses kits, but I realized it’s a bit expensive to order every piece… So I was wondering which kit would be the best to build something simpler. Anyway thx for all the answers!

Now that’s a good idea!

What was wrong with the answer I provided, which gave you all the info, the images, a breakdown, and quoted the actual documentation?

I then confirmed it with my purchase.

It was also first.

I do not do this for the props, but my answers being ignored is becoming annoying.

Well, @MottN’s answer perfectly summarized what I was looking for, in a short and simple way.

I do not do this for the props, but my answers being ignored is becoming annoying.

But i will change my choice to your’s.

The sprayer units and batteries are different between the two. It’s not just with or without the pump.

You missed the actual question.

The OP could see the listing differences, but, the form of the function wasn’t clearly explained.
