I recently was trying to print out a part that utilizes almost the entire z height and noticed waves on the outer walls towards the top of the print. I’ve checked the hot end screws, I’ve cleaned and relubed the rails, cleaned and regreased the z screws, issue persists. Any thoughts? Is this a bed tramming issue?
When looking at the photos, I’m talking about the vertical waves near the indented parts of the print. There are other issues with print quality on this piece that I’m aware of, but just looking to fix the waves
Slight filament over-extrusion will cause this but it’s hard to know… And if using auto flow calibration it could be different every time. Unfortunately if auto flow calibration doesn’t work it’s a game of changing filament flow ratio manually in the filament settings.
Could also try changing layer height in hopes that it clears itself.
Looks like Z-banding—could be lead screw misalignment or frame stability. Maybe check print speed too? Hope you get it fixed! Also, I recently found Read Surah Yaseen—thought you might find it interesting. Looking forward to your results! suraheyaseen .com
