i have strong feelings its broken extruder
Easy enough to disassemble and inspect for damage, debris or need for lubrication:
Sounds normal to me for the infill it’s doing. I’ve printed a few that really gets it chattering but very next big one is nearly silent. I do have a problem hearing high frequency sounds though.
Are you printing from AMS or external spool? I had once a similar random clicking noise and it came from the external spool (not bambu) catching one of the spool holder screw, To avoid it, I designed a simple spacer just to push the spool away from the holder screws.
go another totally failed print and clogged extruder + nozzle this printer is making me nerves ;( each second print is a failure and leads to full toolhead disassembly
showing how extruder looks like inside
With regard to the noise, try a gyroid infill pattern where the nozzle doesn’t cross other infill lines and hear if the clicking sounds stop.
But what material is this and are the settings standard? Can you provide info like below and some settings screenshots? It’s really hard to figure out if it’s a printer, filament or setting issue with little information.
- Printer: X1 C with AMS (Firmware V01.07.03.00)
- AMS: V00.00.06.40
- Nozzle: Bambu Lab X1 Carbon 0.4 nozzle
- Plate type: Textured PEI Plate
- Filament: Orange Bambu Tough PLA and grey Bambu PETG Basic with standard Bambu presets as synced from the AMS (no speed, temperature or other changes whatsoever).
- Process: 0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C
- Process custom settings: Support tab only: support enabled, PETG selected for Support/raft interface
- Slicer: Bambu Studio V1.8.4.51
the problem im getting sis almost on every second (clogged extruder and nozzle) print ;( and as coincidence may be its AMS Slot 4 . but clinging is anywhere. i just reassembled and lubricated extruder, will do print without ams to see. its weird that cubic infill may cause problems as its the best and strongest one to my liking . also its not filaments as i used PETG, PLA, PLA+ from different manufacturers (eSUN, SUNLU, ANYCUBIC, ATA), conservative print speed (max flow 12 mm3/s )but it doesn’t matter
im going to order totally new hotend assemble and extruder as i after 5 disassembling i have feeling something may be broken already , aslo i replaced hotend with spare one with printer and it clogged as well (all metal) . this x1C causing me more issues then may first ender 3 v2 bought 2 years ago its nice but it should work non stop isntead of reporing me problems non stop
