Hi everyone!
I´m actually at the endphase of an short 3 hours print. Out of nowhere i got double Error-Beeps and HMS states that:
- While drying there is a “Thermal Runaway”
- Cooling Fan 1 is blocked
- Cooling Fan 2 is blocked
- Heating is not running properly
The Display also states a AMS Temperature of 74° (Celsius) - it has for sure Roomtemp at roundabout 22° (Celsius) because there´s no drying (still printing)
The AMS is a couple of days old, powered by an official bambulab power supply, Printer and all AMS have the latest firmware.
Now i´m confused because why the hell the printer thinks that someone started drying while printing and sending weird temps?
Of course i will power down everything after the print has finished but my question is if someone else got errors like those.
The Printer and all AMS are a week old, everything is like new (clean, no stuck stuff in the fans). According to the Links i followed i´m advised to replace the fans wich sounds a bit weird to me because this happened (again midprint)
any advice?
thanks!
Update:
The print is finished and without switching anything off i just unplugged the 6-Pin Cable of the affected AMS and also the Power Cable.
After reconnecting everything without any flaw the system stated everything is fine and the AMS checked it is idle and not drying.
Funny: The printer tells med Hasta la Vista Print Erros. Yes, the chosen Name “Fat Bastard” is the right one.
So at the end it seems it was a glitch in the matrix but to be honest this is not very trustbuilding in terms of leaving the printer powered at night or while not at home. Thanks
Update2: After powering everything down for a couple of minutes i initiated the next print ang got the HMS Message AMS is being cooled down, please wait. I think this thing has a defect. Ticket created, i hope i get it replaced because i dont see me doing repairs on a a couple of days old device.
Update3: Luckily i had a spare 6-Pin Cable and replaced the original with that.
So far for 10 Minutes no HMS Messages and dyring in progress (without any filament in the ams) - i do not understand how a working cable in a dry and in any circumstances clean and “healthy” room without anyone on site who can have touched anything can suddenly have an defect. hopefully this was the issue.
