like the title says it makes a weird noise when my printer moves diagonally Bacily only in the middle though (See pic)… is it something that needs oil? i’ve only had it for about 3 weeks. it also makes the section where it squeaks look weird (see pic)… i’m afraid that i’m doing something wrong and that its gonna fall apart.
any help is appreciated. thanks!
That looks like an alignment issue with the toolhead to the rail, possibly a bad bearing. The rails are carbon fibre and do not get lubricated. I would try performing a belt tension but I would also raise a support ticket as the wear is not normal.
are you sure? it printed fine on the rest of the print… just on that second layer in the middle it had that issue. it seems fine now. all the prints that have come off of it since have been beautiful. it doesn’t normally squeak like that… it might’ve been just a freak thing that happened as it was only on that model and on the second layer. i will try the same model tomorrow and see if it happens again. i also was using a refill pack of bbl pla matt and i noticed that the filament was falling down into the extra space and create extra friction. could thi have been my been my problem? (see pic)
It could be something as simple as that but I’d still perform a belt alignment as some have been known to be out from factory. The belt can run on the idler wheels if misaligned and this can cause a squeaking noise.
Here’s an article on it.

Ok. I can actually hear it more like when its doing a circler print at high speeds or on walls. i think it may be getting worse. but its more of a very low pitched squeaked like a chair on hardwood floors.
Okay i will try this… i printed the same model and on the second layer was still giving me issues. bbl still has not responded. when printing this model it wasn’t really a squeak that i thought. it was a vibration that i was hearing.
*edit its definitely a bad bearing
Hopefully BBL will respond to your ticket soon. If you can, point them to this thread which will save you some time having to explain the testing you’ve done so far.
Ok thanks for your help!
Did you manage to resolve the issue? Very curious to hear what solved it.
@Elijah_keller I am curious too, because I have the same sound in my printer. How did you solve it? Thank you for replying.
Hi @Comi They sent me a replacement.
