Weird sound from the X pulley

After the third print, a weird sound came. Its a metallic squishy like something need lubricate(like a door).
I can reproduce it by hand when moving the extruder at X in the middle of the table and in any speed but i have to do it fast. I tried to loose and tight the belts but nothing changed. So far the prints are fine but this sound is really annoying. Is safe to lubricate the pulleys or the 2 small vertical rods at the left back of the printer with some WD40?
Any idea would be appriciated.
Thanks

no to the WD40. A light oil, perhaps something with PTFE, would be more appropriate. Supposedly you’re not supposed to lube the guide rods though.

I have 2 options PTFE or White Lithium…Which one is better for pulleys?

an oil will probably get into the pulley where you want it better than a grease.

both are sprays not grease

White lithium is a grease, even when it comes in a spray can. Not sure what your PTFE spray is, just go with your best judgement here, pick whichever one is going to get where you need it.

After some days of testing and following support guide, i finally found the problem for the squeaking sound.
The problem is the position of the belt and not the pulley. What i did was to loose the tensioner on the side of the motor that squeak. Then i pressed the belt down from the gear while i was moving the carbon rods back and forth. Every time the belt was moving up i was pressing it down to the bottom of the gear. I did that about 3-4 times and then tight the tensioner. The sound stopped. The weird thing that is under inspection is that it came back after 1-2 days. I did the procedure again and it stopped. I hope this time it be permanent or else i should contact ther suppport again. Hope it helps cos noone mention the belt but only a lubrication to the pulley.

Think I have the same noise it’s annoying rattle/squeek ,thought it was dirty rails so do all the maintenance and went away but came back today in a different position.i am sure it’s belt runners .it gets slightly worse the higher the chamber temp is cooled chamber to 32 deg while printing and it’s nearly gone …weirded !!

apply some lube on a cotton swab and rub the top of the belt on the back pulleys while they moving. Dont apply force to the cotton swab, just a touch so the oil goes to the top side of the pulley. This is not a perm solution. The problem is the belt position. If you follow my previous comment about repositioning the belt it might be better.

Thanks for help,
Will try later ,I am going to adjust the pulley at back like the guy does in video as well . Cheers
