+1 ^^
I hate that the seam is about 2mm wide and stands proud of the inner and outer walls. Seems like that’s way more than necessary. It can ruin the look of an otherwise perfect print. I think I may have found that setting but didn’t want to change it for fear it would leave a gap.

It was hard to see as it is white but it is the left of the handle

How do you get rid of the seam? i am just starting and still don’t have a computer with bambu studio yet.

You can’t. The seam is where the layer ends/starts.

how do you chnge the settng

I haven’t had time to test the “theory” yet. I didn’t want to publish it then be all wet. :smiling_face_with_tear: I’ll be back at the printer later this evening. But you would think BL might publish something like this if you could change it without repercussions. What @3DPrintedCard says may be right but the fact you can change the location of the seam makes me think there’s more to it.

A good start would be to read the Bambu wiki pages written about seams.

The whole point of spiral vase mode is it’s not supposed to have a seam. The bug is fixed in latest stable Orca slicer (well it wasn’t quite a bug, but vase mode was a Q’n’D hack) and will hopefully be merged to next version of Bambu Studio. You need to enable “Smooth Spiral” separately, that option appears once you enable vase mode.

Bambu Studio never had “vase” mode as far as I know. When folks were mentioning vase mode, I didn’t know what they were talking about. Apparently, it didn’t work anyway. Seam preset and/or painting is why I mentioned you can change the location but there must more to it. I thought I found it. I only found part of it.

I ran some tests and reduced the seam, but it was still there. Reducing the Wipe Distance to 0 made it worse as did No Retract with No Wipe. Using No Retract and 1mm Wipe was an improvement but using Retract and Wipe with 1mm travel was the best improvement. However, the improvement wasn’t that noticeable. I changed them back to original and will live with it until a Vase Mode is available in Studio.

I was making the changes in the Printer, under the Extruder Tab. I hope this image shows up enough to read it. It’s smaller for uploading.
