So the AMS has been on backorder forever now. I have had one on order for a few months now and I always thought the eta of april was a little funny considering that was the expected eta for the new model. What are the chances that BL is just going to ship us all out upgraded AMS units for those with existing orders?

Well, if they are really still ordered, you can cancel them and order the new one.

They probably need to get rid of the old stock though and it’s gonna be hard when they’re the same price.

If they have stock they want to get rid of, they would offer a discount on the older model until they are gone. No reason to keep producing the old one, and no one would pay the same price for it either if they can get the new one.

They are offering a discount but it’s not enough. Why would they produce additional units instead of just giving people what they bought. I doubt they would even do that in the first place, if you bought a normal AMS they will ship you a normal AMS. Similar to how if you buy silk PLA they’re not sjipping you the new Silk PLA+

Zero chances. I asked CS about that or upgrading. They told me I couldn’t upgrade the order would need to be cancelled. So I canceled it. I initially order it in February with some other stuff. Just been waiting for it and now with the new one out idk. In any case they never shipped anything from my order. I won’t be ordering another of the old or new one.
