We all know benchy, and probably most of us know the calibration prints bultt into orca slicer, so for this thread let’s skip those to avoid boredom.
What else you got? Any other test prints that help to easily diagnose problems or otherwise dial-in a better print profile? Which prints do you find to be especially helpful?
Hi,
I use the calibration flower. Well, it doesn’t help with Bambu printers because you can not change a thing, but for others. Especially if you built or rebuild a printer its very good. So for me this is a helpful tool.
Similar to you, I purchased the calibration lantern. I then did the very tedious measurements, only to later realize there was no direct way to benefit from the information. Nonetheless, it did show that my X1C was within fairly good tolerance, so at least I got some warm fuzzies out of it.
Since I moved to the X1C I’ve never done a calibration print as everything just works already.
I did have to create a PLA Wood profile after a sub par print, but it was only a 5c temp change.
I have built Frankenstein’s before, right down to compiling Marlin and it’s hard to beat a good old Benchy if you get your calipers out and check everything.
