Hi,
I just bought the BAMBU LAB X1 CARBON which I should receive soon. I need to buy some spools of filament, I’m going to start with PLA and ABS. I looked on Amazon because there is a large range of colors on Amazon. But this is my first 3D printer, and I don’t know anything about it. Which brand of filament would you recommend for PLA and ABS?

Do yourself a favor and buy some Bambu filament. Once you’re comfortable with that you can start looking into other filament brands.
NB: why ABS? It produces fumes so you need good ventilation. There are better alternatives such as ASA or PETG or PETG-CF for most use-cases.
MMOBIEL PLA: drucke ich mit max. 15mm³/s, günstiges typisches PLA (zumindest Weiß als gedrucktes Objekt bricht schnell, aber super für Prototypen wegen dem Preis)
CREALITY PLA: drucke ich mit max. 20mm³/s, war sehr zufrieden
Alle funktionieren im AMS. ABS verwende ich bisher nicht.
MMOBIEL PLA : j’imprime avec max. 15mm³/s, PLA typique bon marché (au moins le blanc comme objet imprimé se casse rapidement, mais super pour les prototypes à cause du prix)
CREALITY PLA : j’imprime avec max. 20mm³/s, j’étais très satisfait.
Tous fonctionnent dans l’AMS. Je n’utilise pas encore l’ABS.
ASA is not much better than ABS when it comes to fumes. There’s a warning of it releasing potentially toxic fumes on most 3D printing sites discussing ASA.
The SDS for it recommends
l. Use general dilution ventilation and/or local exhaust
ventilation to control airborne exposures
Otherwise 3dsurfr is correct. If this is your first printer ,use the Bambu filament as the settings are pre-programmed into the slicer. Once you get some experience, look at other brands.
ABS because I saw that it was stronger than PLA. I was thinking of using PLA for basic objects and ABs for objects requiring greater resistance.
Ich nutze hauptsächlich Sunlu Filament und bin mit meinen Druckergebnissen sehr zufrieden. Es kommt natürlich auf die Einstellungen darauf an wie der Flow und der K-Wert eingestellt sind aber das wird im Wiki sehr gut erklärt wie man alles einstellt um auf das beste Druckergebniss zu kommen.
