I know the Engineering Plate was discontinued, but what is the best alternative? Thanks!
Iāve printed TPU on a PEI plate for years, never had any issues.
Would you need glue for the PEI bed?
No
Some user say no heated bed, I usually run it at 50*- 60*.
What @lion7718 said.
Also the smooth PEI isnāt bad either, no glue.
Textured or smooth PEI plate. But no longer with a bed temp of 50°C to 60°C as it makes it sometimes really difficult to get the print off the bed after printing, especially larger prints. I tried the settings recommended by Bambu: bed temp between 30°C and 45°C and liquid glue or glue stick.
Now I print TPU with a bed temp of 35°C and liquid glue applied to the plate. Works really well and removing the print is much easier.
For further information see āBuild Plate Settingsā in the Bambu filament guide.
MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE. I bought the smooth PEI for like 40 bucks but I could have just used the textured PEI ![]()
Alcohol will get stuck TPU off pretty quickly.
