I would guess it’s an older / prototype version of the RC receiver shield.

It is the Receiver Board, more specifically, it is the Receiver Shield.

A Core board plugs into on the reverse side.

When both are connected it is used in the receiver (think vehicle).

It connects to the following plugs:

  • 1 x battery
  • 2 x Motors (sides)
  • 2 x LED Hubs (sides)
  • 4 x Servos and now push rods (top)

My prototype boards looked the same as the current boards. The only difference being a hand written label with a code in it.

The early boards connected to a web page to control it and were entirely incompatible with the current boards as the firmware changed significantly.

The module in the photo is marked XZG 2530. The receiver shield (at least form the photos) says Shield X11 on the on the other side, and nothing in that place. Granted that i don’t have one, and am just looking at photos, whcih may not be acciurate.
