I found this laying on my print bed. Anyone know what this is? I thought it was part of the nozzel wiper, but no such luck.
What could it be? Hmmm… 
Based on the limited information and only this picture, I can conclusively say it looks a lot like a screw inside a piece of broken plastic. 
But seriously, unless someone recognizes it, what would help is to give the photo some scale and also remove the screw from the plastic. For scale, photograph it against a known object such as a coin. Better yet, place it next to a metric ruler since all parts on the machine are metric. This will allow us to guess the dimensions.
Or better yet, if you have access to a nut with a known size and pitch try to thread it into that to check the thread gauge - I’m guessing that’s a either an M2.5 or M3

If you don’t have one in your shop, here’s a useful tool I found indispensable when it came to nut and bolt identification. I found that I needed one just for servicing my P1P, there were so many different screws and this tool helped a lot.

Found another post with the same issue. It is from the fan on the print head housing. Not as serious as I had first imagined.

It does look like a broken post, but why isn’t there something between the screw head and the post? Maybe broken from the toolhead cover; I can’t recall anything else in an X1C that has that color.
Yes, that was rulled out. It turned out to be a mounting screw for the fan in the print head cover.
