Every print - no matter what was changed - will count as print. Where do I know? …because whenever I want to have another lamp (may see my models) I just print them directly from the cloud. Sometimes via phone, sometimes via the desktop pc. …and there I temporary changed things before printing and this was always counted as download.
Whenever you upload a model this 3mf is tagged. When you download the file and change things the file is still related to that model. You can proove this by opening the 3mf with bambustudio or orcaslicer and switch to the “project” tab. There is all information which is also on the hompage. So no matter what you do with the plates a print is always related to that model / project. So on the model side every print is counted. Regarding the print profiles I can’t remember but I think even when you change something it is counted as it was the profile you downloaded.
what if i downloade a 3mf files from F1.dude.
remove all the models and imports a file but only the parts the workspace is still from the 3mf from F1.dude
Would he still get a print?
Also if I print it say 3 months later due to lag of time or something would the person still get the printed credit or just the dl?
also also…
what if I uploaded all my own bambulab “tagged” 3mf files, would I get print credits from a file downloaded there assuming its printer on a bambu printer (that assumed for all the cased here )
Along this same topic, lets throw this in for discussion:
What if you shorten/clarify the file name, leaving the 3mf extension alone, will that also count as a print.
As an aside, it seems like once the name is altered, BLab/MakerWorld loses track of the “model make” and thus it never happened - no points.
