What do you do about bed adhesion when it is TOO good?

I have some Paramount3D PA-CF that has insane bed adhesion…so much that it pulls the magnetic bed plate up with it.

I’m wondering if this is something a glass bed plate or garolite layer may fix. I don’t know what else to try at this point…

Did you let the plate cool down to room temperature before attempting to remove the parts?

the part breaks the magnetic seal before the adhesion between the part and the plate splits.

Use glue it will help release

i’m using magigoo, but that isn’t my problem… i’m trying to keep the distortion down, but having an issue with that because the part distorts and takes the bedplate up with it.

You not have problem with “too good adhesion” but with warping.

Best is add a temperature to chamber :wink:

Secondly, is good to print with stiff base like 6 mm glass (in this case without printing platform) and add a kind of stress spread elements on the corners / edges, like tabs.

This is an interesting issue

You could possibly print a high raft with a large brim so that the heat of the PA/CF is spread out more and to relieve some stress from the edges of your base print

Either way I’m currious as to a solution for this issue as I’ve never experienced a print actually lifting the magnetic build plate off the bed

But if that was happening to me I would try my idea, if it works the only downfall would be the extra time and material

Edit: my idea sounds a bit boisterous, I should have wrote other people with lifting issues solution lol

Warping is generally due to uneven part cooling.
Shut off aux fan and minimize the part fan speed to zero if possible. Also reduce chamber fan to 50% to minimize interior drafts. Raise enclosure cover if chamber gets too hot.

How dense if your infill? Too much can cause uneven cooling and thus warping.

lower the bed temp, 5c or 10c less can help with all filaments, as long as part has a large enough base to hold it, i print a ton of ABS and print at 80c and it greatly reduces warping.

also allow to cool down and then remove plate and flex it to remove…

i watched the timelapse, and you can kinda see when the bed peels up, but it is not exactly obvious because it happens off screen.

my solution was orienting the object along the X axis rather than Y axis…and i used 2 metal binder clips to hold the build plate down. project came out perfect after doing this.
