Assuming there is a next generation of X1C, what would you like it to have?
I want at the minimum:
Heat chamber
Easy nozzle swap like that in the A series
It would be great if it has:
Everything the H2D has, except for the dual nozzles, bigger build plate, and laser/pen.
If it’s possible:
Automatic print removal from the build plate after the printing has completed. This feature can start with prints using PEI plates to make it easier to implement.
I’m pretty happy with mine now, but I’ve also been throwing mods at it like a madman
Would be cool if Bambu just took the best ideas here and simply built them directly into the end product.
Like the plate guide, for example, so that the build plate can be inserted cleanly, or the A1 Nozzle Wiper, or the poop chute door so that the heat and odour stays in the chamber better, etc. etc. … As a manufacturer of 3D printers, you really have a great advantage: Your customers voluntarily and free of charge improve your product. And many of them will deliver the 3D files to you free of charge.
I don’t even ask for something like a simple RJ45 anymore. If they wanted to install that, they would have integrated the cent component long ago. Quickly replaceable nozzles would be great. And I’d like to see something like the dual-nozzle principle in an X1C successor, but the design seems to me to be unusably complicated. I’m so annoyed by all the waste with multicolour that I hardly ever use this feature. Therefore … I would be quite happy with two filaments. But in the meantime, I’m betting my money on INDX.
I’m currently happy with the printer, but I don’t like the direction Bambulab has taken. I can’t imagine buying another printer from them. Sometimes I would like to have a function from OrcaSlicer, but switching to it for one task is a time-consuming and painful process.
These probably won’t be in the evolutionary path for the X1C but rather a wish for a new printer that combines features from three different printers. I am not sure BL will make such a printer as it can create cannibalization among its products.
I want a dual extruder printer like the H2D without all the flashy “gewgaws”. Don’t want to pay extra for a machine that can do stuff other than print. Do want dual printheads because printing supports with a single head requires astronomical amounts of purge. I also want a larger print volume. And active chamber heat. Most of my printing is functional parts.
Like the P1 is kind of a stripped down X1, I want the equivalent for the H2.
