I’m looking to print a few accessories for my P1S. I’m looking for a filament that matches the enclosure. I’ve seen that Bambu silver PLA matches the X1, but the P1S is a different color. It’s not quite black, but much darker than the silver.
I’ve printed my P1P Vision enclosure in color Anthrazit (RAL 7016). It’s only a little bit darker than the P1P, depending on the light source.
That looks pretty good to me! Who makes that filament? I didn’t see an anthracite color from Bambu.
No it’s not from Bambu. My wife likes the look of Anthrazit, so many projects needs to be in this color. I’ve searched a while for a filament, that is matching the color. I’ve found it from https://www.extrudr.com. The filament shown on the photo is “XPETG Matt”, but they have also other types of filament in “anthrazit”.
Ah, looks like Extrudr is based in Europe. Haven’t checked on shipping since they require you to register for an account, but I’m guessing it’ll be pricey. Did you explore any “global” brands of anthracite filament that didn’t make the cut? I see there are other manufacturers who make filament of that color, or at least with that name.
Hopefully Bambu will release their own.
Oh, sorry. I didn‘t check that you living in the US. Maybe it‘s available by a reseller in US. Here in Germany it‘s also available via Amazon.
I have not checked other filament vendors. I searched for a PETG filament for functional outdoor prints with a matte finish in RAL7016. I tested it and it works good except a little more warping than normal PETG.
But just look for color with RAL7016. RAL is a international color system. So the color no 7016 from the RAL system should look exactly the same from each vendor.
unfortunately, I haven’t found a single filament manufacturer who uses the RAL color system in their filament colors… I have found a VERY limited few who use Pantone colors… but even that is quite rare.
I have printed the poop chute for my P1S with polymaker’s polyterra PLA charcoal black and with my lighting is a close match
To the logo maybe… but the body I think would be a closer match with Polymaker dark grey
