When using the external Spool when I try and unload filament it makes a horrible grinding noise after the nozzle heats and begins to move for the cut sequence, int then tries to cut in mid air, then tries again and rehomes xy and then cuts properly.
I have looked at the gcode but not sure where a what to look for.
that sound is the loss of steps of the stepper motor when the resistance of your assembly exceeded the capabilities of the stepper motor…
with the power off, try manually moving all axes to see if you have any rubbing or a lot of resistance
The only time this happens is when I use the unload filament button.
I have cleaned the rods and re lubed the metal rods and tensioned the belts according to the instructions from bambu
I have checked any binding with the power off also.
I am getting perfect prints with no other issues, I can use the AMS and swap filament that way with no issue.
I guess the next question is what gcode am i looking for?
