What is the Boost Manifesto button in the model add/edit pages?

I have noticed a new button at the end of the content editor labelled [Boost Me].

Pressing it shows a dialogue window with two boxes, only one can is enabled.

There is no description of the purpose or if you fill it out, what it will affect and where.

If there was a public announcement, I missed it.

I uploaded two models yesterday and it wasn’t there.

I assume I am not alone seeing this.

Does anyone have any more information on this?

Did you try it after I pointed it out?

Yep I didn’t see it yesterday

Great, it is good to know I wasn’t alone.

Manifesto you say?! I’m gonna need to lock myself up in a cabin for a few months to get a good one of those going.

Hahahaha. Maybe not that serious. Maybe more whimsical like this!

ChatGPT is already helping me get started.

Article I: The Essence of Filament

Filament is not merely a material; it is the lifeblood of 3D printing. Derived from polymers, metals, and composites, filament transforms the abstract into the tangible, the concept into reality. It is the bridge between digital design and physical creation, enabling us to build the future layer by layer.

So we don’t need to call you Josh Kaczynski then?

Typical MW: features pop up without notice or explanation. Let one wonders if MW has the usual setup of Dev, QA, and Production environments.

I’m more of a Wazowski.

Thanks for the heads up! I updated all of my model pages!

I only have 390 models left to edit!

If only they included a bulk option.

If some would only group their models… so much more value, so little editing to do!

Not many people group their keyboard mounts, stackable trays and boxes, agents, signs and risers.

So I just tested it, but I think it looks super tacky and feels like begging. Therefore I tried to remove it again, but it does not seem to be possible. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of it again?

I agree. I will make a graphic to serve this purpose for my own needs.

It can be deleted by selecting it and using the delete key on the keyboard. I have done this on one of mine to test it.

Unfortunately I’m on mobile at the moment and don’t have access to a delete key for a few more days.

I have just done it using Apple Safari on an iPad (iPhone also works), I selected the panel and pressed the virtual keyboard [backspace delete] (the normal one we erase text with).

I imagine it is equally possible to use Google Chrome on Android.

Ooh thanks for the heads up!

I tried it out on one of my models, and I gotta say I was really surprised that it’s just text. I assumed that the uneditable “Boost Me” text would be a link to boost someone easily. It’s just a giant box of text reminding people to use boosts.
