Printing poop bin for p1s and it failed to stick at one corner lot of stringing.
What is happening, recently installed AMS 2 Pro, filament is also recently bought.
Nozzle was blocked I cleaned it too, is this time to change the nozzle?? I hardly used 1.5 KG filament so far for all prints.
This is not a nozzle “wearing out” problem. To me the stringing is an indication that at the filament has a lot of moisture in it. How are you drying it? Understand that filament fresh out of packaging should not be considered dry. What kind of filament is it?
but stringing is just start of gcode path, look like some issue in extrusion when a new path is started at new height? I suspect that when one layer finishes and new layer start this stringing is happening at that time only and probably this is under extrusion at start of cycle?
So, I changed flow rate based on calibration earlier it was .020 and now I set it to 0.30. Print is better than earlier at lease no broken joint. But area marked in pink lines its really very rough and not uniform, left side marked in pink area is where z height adjust for nozzle to move onto next layer, and at top corner is smooth but same issue happened at right side marked pink area.
Look like when printer adjust height to move to another layer there is some issue at the point.
Something with retraction?
Any suggestions what to do next?
What type of generic filament? Exact brand, type and name. That models profile is specifically for PLA Basic. If you did not change the profile type, the max flow rate will be way too fast for most generic PLA and the cause of the problems. If you are using generic filament you need to change the filament profile to “Generic PLA”.
On a side note the taller the layer height the worse the overhang performance will be, like your right circle. Tall layer height will also exaggerate other quality problems like PA, there is a reason the 0.28mm layer height is called “extra draft”, because its “extra low” quality for drafts/prototypes not final product. I would print it with 0.16 or 0.20 layer height, 0.16 is my favorite for best looking functional parts.
I am just wondering similar overhang is there at far right exact same, but no issue.
This is Indian brand WOL3D PLA, and is not good but issue at exact one location is something that alone is not due to filament.
I took zoomed in picture at junction where it get normal. IMO issue is only when/where nozzle change the height to print the next layer above. After this height where corner get normal (see marked red rectangle) and consistent layer, right side overhang started bleeding as now nozzle change height at that location.
So at current rate its printing well just some weird issue while printer changing the height.
As I mentioned earlier, you need to use the “Generic PLA” profile with any filament that is not Bambu, that should solve your problem. PLA Basic from bambu is made for high speed printing and has a very fast flow rate, most generic PLAs have a much lower max flow rate. Also any Generic specialty PLAs like matte, silk etc might have an even lower flow rate, thats why I was asking for the exact type… not just “PLA”, what kind of PLA.
As I also mentioned before you might want to change the layer hight to 0.16 or 0.20 to improve the quality. An "increased speed” 0.28 is not really saving any time when you have to print it multiple times.
