Hello my printer is doing some weird noises when printing large continuous objects like vases. What is it? Do I need to do any maintenance despite the regular one that I may have missed?
It’s printing.
I hear nothing that isn’t normal.
I didn’t hear anything.
I downloaded the video & the sound cuts on & off…so I can’t tell you anything.
I assume you are referring to the sound made during the curved portion of the movement.
It sounds like a normal reverberation caused by the shape while the head traverses the path it travels.
Nothing that is concerning.
If you remain concerned, print something more square next time and if the concerning sounds are not there or different based on that movement, you are good.
Yes, that is exactly the sound I was referring to.
Happy to hear that it is all normal. Thanks
You are so detailed in your replies. You are a treasure sir. ![]()
Just to be clear, between seconds 11 and 13 is clearly audible. That is what I am referring to. It sounded too “grindy” to mee to be a reverberation sound, but I have no experience on that
I just listened again to make sure, I still did hear anything that didn’t sound like it was simply related to the movement and harmonics.
Sometimes annoyingly so.
Why thank you.
