What needs to be done in the software when changing nozzle size?

I just recently got a 0.2 nozzle and after installing it I noticed there was no place for me to update the nozzle size. In either the X1-C or in bambu. When I go into the printer properties in bambu the nozzle size is greyed out at 0.4mm

Choose which models you have.

If you have the newest firmware, on the printer touch the Hex icon, then the maintenance tab. On the right is a dialog where you can enter the nozzle size and whether it’s hardened or stainless.
I do not know what the printer does with this information, I found this while exploring the menus.

I saw that after I got the latest firmware but wasn’t sure if it was new or I just hadn’t noticed it before.

This ^
in the X1C, P1S, P1P, and A1

but not the A1 mini…

In newest firmware I believe you need to set it up on printer. Bars icon :point_right: Nozzle/Extruder :point_right: Nozzle Type (small pen icon). Then you can click Sync Printer Info in Bambu studio.

So with the new update I don’t have any of these options to change my nozzle on anything. Not the printer or bambu studio or handy all options for my X1c are gone

Nothing on the printer menus - maybe under some maintenance menu? As I haven’t updated the firmware recently on my A1, and I can change the nozzle size on the printer itself, and someone above commented they can do it on the P1S also…

Thanks for the reply! I was going crazy trying to find that option where it used to be, and it never even occurred to me to check the printer… it had always been in the slicer! Amazing how such a simple change can throw you off.

On my P1S it was under
Disk Symbol → Accessories → Nozzle
As if a Nozzle would be optional :joy:

Thanks! I was having a lot of trouble finding this on my P1S and didn’t expect it under accessories.

AMAZING! Thank you, this solved my issue! Of course it’d be on the physical printer lol. Last place I would have checked.
