Hi everyone,
We’ve been using a Bambu Lab P1S here in the US and really liked it. We just bought another one in Israel, but over there spare parts are either hard to find or very overpriced.
Since we’re still in the US for a little while, we want to stock up on the most useful/common spare parts(and accessories )before heading back.
For those of you with more experience – which parts would you recommend we bring with us?
While there likely will be many opinions on this matter, the few items that I would put at the top of my list are the following:
X1/P1 screw kit. If you don’t already have this, you will eventually need it when you drop that one screw that is impossible to find anywhere else. In fact, it’s cheap enough to get two of them.
Full nozzle assembly with fan. Truth be told, I’ve had my P1 since 2023 and never had nozzle failure but I have 2 spares from when I first got the printer. At least get a full assembly with fan.
Silicone Socks for the nozzle. These are considered consumables anyway. But know that they are now available on Amazon by other makers.
Nozzle wipers. Again, it’s considered a consumable by Bambu and that you definitely want to buy from them. They come in packs of 3 and again, I’ve only replaced mine twice in the last 3,000 hours/2 years. It could be argued that you don’t need a replacement very often.
Filament cutter - I’ve only replaced mine once and again, it didn’t really need it, I had the toolhead apart and just decided to replace everything.
Ceramic heater with Thermistor. Now this you definitely want to have 3 on hand… just in case. Whereas they don’t generally need replacing, if you ever have to service the nozzle, you’ll be glad you had these on hand because digging out an old crusty one is no fun… trust me!!!
Optional — If you buy a nozzle assembly with a cooling fan, you won’t need a separate spare but it could be handy to have one around. Again, this has a proprietary connector so you can’t just find a 24vdc small fan like it easily.
PTFE Tube is very optional. PTFE is available wherever plumbing supplies are sold and it is as ubiquitous as electrical tape is to electricians. But, Bambu has cut them down to convenient lengths for $3.00 so why not!
