I had a X1C and upgraded to H2D, I’m trying to understand support material usage on H2D. Fo X1C I use Bambu support for PLA for PLA and used Bambu support for ABS for ABS. When I tried us Bambu ABS support I get: Non-soluble support materials are not recommended for support base.
Are you sure to use them for support base?
Is there a link I can look at that specifies what support material I can use on H2D?
:
That’s interesting… I have not used Support for ABS yet, but I have used Support for PLA
Are you using the support just at the support/raft interface, or are you trying to use it for your entire support/raft base structure?
Typically, and sorry if you are already aware, but you only use support at the interface, and just use the print filament for the base.
Using at support interface. I’m going to open a new package of support and see if that helps, I’ve had the current one for a while. Thanks for replying
I’m no expert on this but I have read a lot of about the issue. Bambu’s recommendations on using the supports are very specific with the h2d. You should search the wiki for the page on that info.
There should be no issues printing full supports using PVA, provided it is completely dry. Even slightly absorbed moisture will cause problems throughout the AMS and down to the build plate.
The first print I attempted on my H2D was a D20 inside a meshed D20 — impossible without PVA — and it printed flawlessly.
The support material I choose depends on the main material:
• PLA: PVA, PETG-HF, or Support for PLA/PETG
• ASA: Support for ABS
• PAHT-CF: Support for PA/PET
And so on.
Thanks didn’t I know that , just been using my X1C knowledge.
