I know that points are awarded each day at UTC+0. I assumed that was also the time that points accumulation ended for points that would be awarded tomorrow. But I was thrown off by receiving points today that I thought would come tomorrow.
Do any of you know what the cutoff time is for accumulation?
It should be UTC+0 to UTC+0.
However, they said at the announcement that it may not always be that.
Not a policy shift, just an occasional change on individual accounts every once in awhile.
While times of points being awarded did not change - did you share designs with Chinese maker world? they have separate counters to RoW Maker world and can bring points you don’t expect from monitoring RoW MW
Your comment made me realize I was thinking about it wrong. I was assuming the day (for points) started and ended at the same time points get awarded. But of course that is not true.
I am almost finished publishing version 1 of a chrome extension that tracks prints, downloads, boosts and points for my MakerWorld models, and sends a daily summary at whatever time I choose. I had it set to send the daily summary at just after 4 pm (which is when I get points in my time zone). But now I know that is wrong. I will push it back to 6 pm and it should work just fine. Thanks for your help.
I have occasionally received points from the Chinese site. It is always a welcome surprise!
