What would be the big difference if H2S is released?

I would say there is not that much speed diffrence between single nozzle and dual nozzle.

On the contray, dual nozzle narrows its print size.

I would say H2S will be much cheaper than H2D.
So what would be big advantage of having H2D then???

If you don’t plan on using support materials or printing in two colors, the H2D is basically pointless — it actually gives you less build volume, costs more and since it’s more complex, it’s more prone to failures, and the toolhead is a lot harder to maintain. That’s all there is to it.

And I think the fact that they released the H2S months after the H2D is a real joke. So many people only wanted a printer with a larger build volume, and to get that they felt “forced” to buy the H2D, spending more. It would’ve been way more honest for Bambu to present the full line-up together with the H2D — that way a lot of people would’ve saved money by just waiting for the H2S.

Same could have been said with the P series printers releasing after the X series. Looking at the current situation it’s easy to see that there is a very good market for each of these printers. Some people want all the fancy features and others don’t need them. Same reason there are different trim levels of vehicles. Just because there is a certain model is right for you doesn’t mean that there should only be that model.

Between the P series and the X series there was a one-year gap, while between the H2D and H2S it was just a few months… that really changes the perspective, believe me.

People still made the same complaint you have made. If you need a closer example. There was just a few months between the P1P and the P1S. Again people made the same complaint except they wanted the “more feature rich” version. In the end it is all water under the bridge and not something the be upset about. If the H2D isn’t for you, sell it and buy the printer that works best for you.

Its only been couple months and also, anyone find it weird that we stopped hearing about the H2D from “bbl representatives” ? Like ok pro released, big deal. But now we stopped seeing posts about firmware releases, beta, yada yada, which smells a bit like discontinuement to me.

But now the competition has caught up or other feature (multi printheads like the Snapmaker U1. Dual Printhead is not such a unique feauture, SNapmaker artesan hat already such option and laser as well, just on a higher pricepoint and no core xy meachaniism.I guess X1 will stay at a lower price point and H2S should be at the price of X1C. It is a technology product and the price decreases over time.

Not really, if they release the Pro that means they have to give a perfect suport to the enterprises, so also that means our H2D gets benefits from it because the firmware is 99% the same

I bought the A1 mini at launch and it had barely got through the door (around a month) when they announced the A1 (not mini).

That was a massive kick in the nuts. Far shorter than the latest interval.

I bought the A1 as well.

I returned the A1 during the recall, and went on to buy four P1S printers. I kept the A1 mini, I use it almost exclusively for TPU work.

Lets not forget the p1p enclosure vs p1s release timing. The OG buyers remorse.

Was the X1C discontinued when the X1E was released? The H2D isn’t being discontinued either, because the H2D Pro and the H2S are coming out now. They’ll exist in parallel because their target audiences are different.

I’m glad I have the H2D because the dual nozzle system is brilliant for support material – and new firmware was just released, but creating a separate post for every update seems pretty pointless to me.

No dont get me wrong i love the machine even if i cant use it 100% yet, im still plagued with supports issues, but i find the radio silence lately a bit weird. I mean they didnt even announce the new f/w, and as far as i know no news on new betas either

It was not.

Originally, the X1E was sold through specialist resellers as the printer was targeted at enterprises.

Killing the X1C would have meant no consumer X series printer available to anyone.

Single nozzle is simpler and less to tshoot for a starter to printing.

H2s is a direct path upgrade for the x1c

X1 owners get to carry over ams with the same experience plus a bigger build vol and chamber heating.

To me h2s is x1e upsized.

There was only 3 months between the first X1 shipping and the release of the P1P. That’s if you backed the X1 kickstarter. If you weren’t a backer they were only a month apart. Then the P1S came out the following year.

I get your trying to vilify the H2D simply because of the H2S announcement… But my H2D has been very simple to maintain. It also has more build volume than the P, X, and A series so… ok? Sucks you felt “forced” to buy something.

I’ve had my H2D right around launch and have had zero issues with toolhead maintenance at 412 hours of usage. It is my first 3D printer and pretty much every “issue” has been user error. My only real issue was fixed in a FW update, which was the toolhead hitting the cutting area periodically.

I agree; no one was forced to buy the H2D.
I’m glad I have it and wouldn’t want to switch to the H2S because the dual nozzle alone is unbeatable when printing with piece structures and different filaments.

I can easily do without the extra print space, because that adds up to maybe 20mm in all directions.

And as for maintenance, I previously had the X1C, and the H2D is absolutely easy to maintain. I changed the nozzles several times yesterday because I tried it out – no problems and completely tool-free.

And if you need more space, well, there are other manufacturers that build much larger printers.

You’re saying no one was forced, fine — but maybe you’re looking at it from a hobbyist’s perspective. For those of us who actually work with printers and needed a larger build volume, not knowing the H2S was coming out, what do you think they had to do? They bought the H2D.
I don’t think that’s fair. And I’m not bashing anyone or anything — it’s just my opinion. Hopefully it won’t ruin any fanboy’s sleep.

No, you’ll just be passive aggressive about it… This is nothing new with any company, especially 3D printer companies, Qidi Plus 4 —> Qidi Q2 for example. I will admit its really soon for Bambu though and you do have a right to be angry.
