Any that “just work”? There nothing in the Bambu slicer, and I’ve struggled a lot in getting the ones on makerworld to work for the H2D. I somehow got one to work for PLA, but then couldn’t get the posted PETG variant to work. Anyone have one?
Because nozzle temp has to be changed several times during the print, doesn’t a temp tower have to be specific to the H2D’s slicer?
Kinda. It’s bambu studio/makerworld combo that doesn’t have much allowance for custom gcode. However, you can when sliced, enter manual custom gcode at each layer***
eg
layer 41: M104 S215
** to be clear; this is done in Bambu Studio’s preview layer bar, not text file.
That does the temp tower thing. I wouldn’t file it as “it just works” as it does require 5 seconds of our time.
edit: adding example makerworld one that works fine if you’re willing to do a tiniest bit of work
Just download as STL and build your own 3mf with the custom gcode. Switching filaments preserves the custom layer entries.
I did try it even before starting this thread. Maybe I picked the wrong model to try it on, or it was peculiar in some way, but it would revert back to the starting temp for each subsequent layer. That’s when I threw up my hands: I’m not going to do it for each of 100+ layers times multiple temp towers.
[OK, I tested yours just now, and it doesn’t share the reversion problem of the earlier model I tried. I’d give you boost tokens, per your request, but I have none to give. Zero balance. If I ever get more, I’ll boost you then, provided I can find you, and if I remember (obscure Shrek quote).

@partferret Suggest you make it to cover a wider range. Then people can chop it to their section of interest in the slicer. Then you need only one tower, and only need to put custom g-code just that once, rather than multiple towers for different filaments, each demanding its own g-code customization. So, fewer steps overall. Maybe people will appreciate the parsimony and you’ll get more boosts that way!
You should suggest that to the author. I prefer the blank towers for that reason.
It sure does print abnormally slow:
2 hours and 14 minutes for just this thing? Is it just me, or are others getting that too? I uploaded the .3mf file, so I assume so. Why so slow?
0.4 standard H2D PLA takes 48 mins or so sliced on that tower. 1h16m for PETG basic.
