On February 15th my A1 arrived for content review.
But only 3 working days have passed and I hope that everything will be sorted out by the end of the month.
The following appears in my ticket:
“There are new answers to your ticket. Please review this and provide us with further information if necessary.”
Unfortunately, I can’t see anything other than the confirmation of my return request and the return information and the PDF with the return label.
But it could also be that the sentence is only there so that I can continue reading below.
In any case, there is already a P1S plus other accessories in the shopping cart at BBL.
I put in a ticket to confirm accessory return eligibility on the 7th of Feb, but cancelled that one after 3 days without response and filled out their form on the 10th of Feb. Still no response or update from Bambu Lab. I’m aware that they shut down for a holiday, so I’ll wait a bit longer before I lodge a PayPal refund request. At least I’ll get my money back if they don’t respond, then BL can have their printer back when they get around to it.
I’m not sure what’s ‘reasonable’ in this case, but AU consumer protection is fairly explicit.
If your project is urgent and has some $$ impact, you might be able to find a sparky (or at least cabler) to replace some cables and run a test on it. I expect it’d be the same guys who run around the office checking power supplies every couple of years. Otherwise, if you’re waiting on BL, I expect a very long wait.
I’m also in AU, and was keen on replacing the bed, until I did some digging and found the same thing you did. Not a good idea to touch anything that’s mains powered unless you have a mate with the right quals who can sign off on the repair for you.
Even at that, I’d wait on their ‘official’ solution since a self-repair would most likely serve doubly bad outcomes (i.e. voided warranty AND liability for problems onto you).
Yeah. My project is printing parts for an environmental management system for my off-grid power equipment. There are no off-the-shelf components that will do what I want to do, which is basically keeping the equipment at the optimal temperature so that it doesn’t de-rate as well as keeping the batteries comfortable. The last three days here have been 47C, 49C, 42C and there’s more coming, If the printer had not been recalled I would have finished the job before that last heatwave but, alas, I had to make other temporary arrangements.
So, it’s not a $$$ thing per se, but it could have consequences down the track if I can’t crack on with this job. There’s some big bucks tied up in this gear and its longevity is directly tied to how well I can maintain the operating environment for it. Not so pressing, but still important are the parts for the heat recycling system that will come in to play in Winter, to keep the batteries warm.
I was greatly enthused when I bought the A1, it seemed to be the best bang for buck option and had rave reviews, but this experience is turning bad really quickly.
I just got the ticket and PayPal notification that Bambu Lab has issued a full refund for the A1 printer to my PayPal account, so you can expect yours to be processed shortly as well. I haven’t received any information regarding the $80 coupon though.
I’m done with this mob. I don’t care about the voucher anymore. Right at this moment I’m lodging a claim with Paypal to have my money refunded. All Bambu Labs had to do was keep me appraised of the situation with my claim, but they didn’t, so I’m remedying it myself.
I have opted for an exchange. I got the recall notice before the printer arrived.
I have requested the discount code, so that I could use it to go towards a P1S until the new heat bed arrives. But, so far no response from Bambu.
The heatbed is expected to start being shipped out at the end of March.
I will not have a solution for 2 and half months.
I don’t understand why Bambu doesn´t issue the discount code immediately.
My Bambu was paid in full, at the moment I am the one at lost.
Their customer service is not the best, they take forever to respond and when they do, it´s a non answer.
I guess eventually someone will sue them.
I dont´t know about you. But I paid for mine. Business is business.
I guess if most of us were youtubers promoting Bambu where we had gotten them sent for free by Bambu. then we would have nothing to complaint about.
But, like I said. I paid for mine.
Consider the man in the middle who has sent out the relevant information.
purchase the ps1, the goodwill gesture / discount voucher, will still be usable for other store items which i dare say you will inevitabily need.
Let us know how that goes.
4 weeks since we were told to stop using the A1 and 2 weeks since they have my printer, my £525 and the £74 voucher. Turning into a bit of a joke.
They could at least just say it’s been received and is being “processed” and actually issue the voucher so, you know, we can “get back to printing in the shortest amount of time possible” as per their promise.
As a goodwill gesture, the moment I opted for the exchange of the heat bed adn 120 euros voucher. Bambu should of imediatly made available.
What I know is that Bambu told everyhone to stop using the A1. So at the moment I am not supose to use the one, don´t have a voucher, and dont have a Heatbed. Meanwhile bambu has the 619euros, and I am stuck with a faulty product.
I don´t want to use the voucher on filaments.
