Stay in the fight my friend. We need more people to be part of the squeaky wheel club, we can’t let the pressure off of Bambu.
I wasn’t going to say anything about your hopeful post for fear of jinxing it, but now that it has failed, are we even surprised at this point?
I brought up this thread in another post where Bambu Labs was asking for feedback on their new Beta. Supposedly, this Beta allows direct connection to the printer via IP address and passcode. It sounded promising—until it wasn’t.
At this stage, you’ve got nothing more to lose—except more of your valuable time, which Bambu clearly couldn’t care less about. Still, trying the Beta version of Studio might be worth a shot, who knows? You could get lucky. Here’s my candid feedback to Bambu on their Oct 16th 2024 post, where I called them out and reference your rant here and their unacceptable silence and absolute stonewalling on these abysmal network connectivity issues.
It’s too late for Bambu to deny that their network interface is flawed. Why is that clear? Because their attempt to add this direct-connect feature in the beta is a direct admission that it’s needed. While beta software is expected to require further testing, there’s still a reasonable expectation that it meets a minimum standard. Unfortunately, their efforts are hamfisted, and in my tests, it became clear that even this minimum standard wasn’t met. The beta was released before it was ready or even marginally tested.
