If you didn’t notice: X1C has reached end of production. Bambu Lab sent an extensive mail what will be available for how long. Regarding software, it will only get security updates but no feature changes. Accordingly, the answer to your question is: Never

To all X1C users waiting for “Drying While Printing

I know that many Bambu Lab X1 Carbon owners have been hoping that the “Drying While Printing” feature for the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT would eventually become available on the X1C as well. I therefore asked Bambu Lab Support directly whether there is any hope that this feature could be added to the X1C through a future firmware update. It could just be the X1C being EOL caused them to just decide “no”. None of the dev or support costs can be recovered if they aren’t selling them as a product.

More dev time for other projects and no money wasted on one that doesn’t matter.

It wouldn’t be the first time someone decided to call a project “impossible” just because they didn’t want to do it - especially if it helps point users at new replacement models.

As they are selling the AMS HT Adapter kits for the X1C, this makes little sense to me. The SW / FW burden here is low. We have them on our X2D & H2D machines but will certainly be disappointed if we bought the X1C specific kit only to find partial functionality forever.

It just contains the parts to connect any AMS to a X1C or P1S printer.
Nothing specific about it for AMS HT or X1C.

As a side note: If you want to attach only a single AMS, you don’t necessarily need the 4-way hub included. The cheaper buffer is sufficient.

I don’t see, how the buffer or AMS hub are related to remote drying?

I have successfully used my X1C together with 2 AMS2 and 1 AMS HT and always found it to work flawlessly. I also haven’t used remote drying with the X2D, is it available there? I usually insert a roll into the dryer and start drying from the printer screen. I would be interested what you need remote drying for.

So in my opinion, Remote drying is an add-on that they later introduced for some printers, not something necessary. X1C + AMS HT is fully useable in its current state.
