Hey folks,
I was doing some basic printing today after some time without printing. Then, I noticed this component together with the filament waste (there were also some filaments stuck in the exit, which I had to pull off).
I don’t know where it is from but I guess it is part of the nozzle cleaning process. Does anyone know where or how should I put it back?
Thanks
I’d have to guess it’s from the “flicker arm” thing at the back of the waste chute that the printhead hits after a purge.

Very crude drawing. Goes on the bottom of that arm. My X1C was an early version and didn’t have one my P1S did and it made it much more quiet when clearing the fillament. So I put one on the X1C but it just slips on that arm. It’s a pian to put on if you have big hands unless you pull that part off. Very easy to put back on if you take it off. Probably a 5 min job tops.

Thank you folks!
That makes a lot of sense! I will try to put it back, but I also guess there is no much harm in not doing it (besides the noises).
Thank you so much.
Oh man you think that’s loud. I have one on mine and it’s still loud They did a few other changes in the new ones. In my opinion significantly orders of magnitude better. Indefinitely sounds a lot less cheap. I’ll probably end up getting one of those because even if a little rubber tip on mine it’s still louder than the P1S. I bought the P1S because of what I call my x1c lol. Number one number two lol
I actually like the noise the wiper makes. It lets me know that the print has started.
You’re probably sounds better than mine. Vine is a real loud cheap plasticky clank. I’m really happy that they refined that That was absolutely horrible.
