Which filament to use for compost bin lid

Hey folks, quick question…

I want to design replacement hinges for horizontally mounted lid on my sun exposed compost bins. The original hinges are metal, bent, and seized. The hinges will only need to support the plastic lid when fully opened.

Not sure if my design will work, but looking for the best material to print with.

Is PAHT-CF my best option?

Thanks,

Stu

Any chance you can get a new set of the original hinges? I don’t think any filament is going to be stronger than metal – which seems like it might not be strong enough either.

I sure can…HomeDepot. But I’m up for the challenge.

Really, just curious as to what the best material for summer heat and humidity exposure is.

Thanks,

Stu

I think PETG-CF should work well enough in regards to heat and humidity. I’d use somehting like Prusa’s PETG-CF though, see Bambu PETG-CF, low HDT compared to Prusament
