Hi everybody,
First of all sorry for my English it is not my native language. I am standing before a big desicion of which printer I should buy.
I currently have a p1p that is still going strong but I want to upgrade. I need a bigger printed so I need a h-series printer and I love the h2c vortek system so I have less printer waste but what is holding me back on purchasing the h2c:
- Newer model with improved vortek system coming out soon?
- I had to mess with my ender 3 more then enough for one lifetime so no complex repairs or setup hassle. H2c seems complicated to fix or something could go wrong easily it seems?
- Price. I can purchase a h2d an a snap maker u1 too but that takes also space.
The release of the x2d has not helped me with this desicion. Are there people who have the h2c or anybody having any thoughts on this or can give me some advice.

If the bed size of the H2C meets your needs then I’d go with the H2C. the H2C can do what the H2D can do and more, just with a slightly smaller bed size.
Personally, I have both, only because I bought the H2D first thinking it would meet my needs with two nozzles and honestly it has but having 7 nozzles made more sense to me so I bought the H2C.
I keep a .02 and .06 nozzle loaded along with my .04 nozzles. Printing with sharper detail or slightly faster but less detailed is a simple matter of choosing the .02 or .06 nozzle and printing with it.
I’ve been very happy with both of them but if I had to live with just one I’d keep the H2C.

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of feedback I needed. Have you had a lot errors popping up on the h2c or had any issues with the vortek system? I see some user experience some troubles with this online.
So far, it’s been 100% reliable. I’ve only had it for a month so my feedback may not be the best since it’s so new. It’s printed everything I’ve thrown at it with no failures or bad print quality.
My only complaint is my prints stick to the bed plate like glue. I have to let it completely cool down before removing my prints. Going to try and lower the bed temps to see if I can get it where my H2D is regarding this.

Approaching 1200h, almost all multimaterial, multicolor with Vortek.
Had to increase PETG nozzle temp to 260°C (PETG support interface for PLA) and just now had some trouble with heat creep during long .2 nozzle prints but the latter is likely user error (should have checked bed temp settings).
Considering all it is built for, it is amazingly problem free

I have had problems with my H2C (broken XY motor) but I am considering another one, I really like it, makes all the difference with multi color stuff.
What was the cause of the break down. How many hours did you use the printer for?
I think around 200 hrs, cause unkown.
