White haze on bottom of my prints and hot bed plate

Does anyone know why i get a white haze on the botttom of my prints and on my plate? It can’t be washed off with degerent or alcohol. It’s like its stains it and all my prints have a white haze on the bottom.

You need to provide more info.
What plate?
what filament?
what temp?
using gluestick?

cool plate, with pla white that came with the printer, heating to 180, and no gluestick. It was the white PLA that started it all.

You could try dish soap and a good scrub or just replace the cool plate decal with the spare

I use glue more as a releasing agent but also for longevity of my cool plate

The textured plate is rad but sometimes I like the bottom smooth

Same thing, glue stick on my textured plate, and engineering plate not so much for adhesion but more as a barrier between the print and the bed

I use Elmers washable purple glue because it dries clear and goes purple once it’s wet so its super easy to wash off

But ya, try cleaning with a wash, dry, and swipe some isopropyl across with a lint free rag

Otherwise its replacement decal time

Actually it was the first print i ever did that created this problem. I switched cool plates with a new one and printed with black PLA and i noticed it was slightly white again. It doesn’t scrub off. So i will take your suggestion and start apply glue to create a barrier. Thanks -

I get that on prints with ABS filament and get rid of it by quickly hitting that side with a heat gun set to slightly hotter than the filament print temp.

That’s a great point

I use the heat gun where supports leave a scar, and sometimes to help remove stubborn supports

Gotta be careful though lol

I use the wife’s nail buffer stick to clean up any haze. Shines it up too, if needed.

Im Having same issue. Im pretty sure its from plate glue build up. It seems to only do with bambu filament, due to the insane adhesion to the plate.

Im using the texture plate.

Same issue here on the textured plate I have never used glue or any plate additives as release agents, so this isn’t from a buildup. This is with Bambu Lab PETG-CF. Hitting it with a heat gun appears address the issue, but I’d rather not have to post-process all my prints. Could this residue be part of the coating on the sheets being “pulled up” with the print?

I don’t think its anything coming off the build plate-

I get that with ASA/ABS if I try to remove before cooling. I sum it up as more of a tear/deflecting the surface material due to high adhesion to the plate when removing.

I don’t know what others do, but on the Cool Plate with glue stick, I clean with dish soap and warm water, dry, and reapply glue stick before any important prints, and when needed for unimportant or short prints which is generally every few prints. I have the faint ridges from the glue stick and where other prints have been pulled otherwise.

If the white PLA filament is really shiny compared to other Basic PLA colors, it might be a problem with the filament. Others (and me) have noticed that they swapped filaments on us and at least the black and white have both semi-satin versions (good) and quite shiny (bad). The shiny stuff likes to break during feed/retraction, isn’t quite the same color, and prints poorly. Haven’t heard yet that it creates a haze but why not with everything else?

yeah i have that too. Almost like tiny strands of hair. I think its from the filament its self and not the build plate.

sorry to be a grave digger but mostly it comes from not letting the print cool down, which bends the pla. Depending on PLA and color it differs.

Seriously, how has this not been said yet

Stress marks. Let the plate cool down before removing the print. Next.
