I’m gradually seeing white marks appear on the top of my heated bed. It’s also becoming rough in that area. Of course, I never print directly on it, only on my dedicated plates. Any idea why?
What plates are you using with that and are the back sides (the ones in contact with the heated bed) coated with things like glue (from when they were front sides) or anything special? How high of temperatures are you running them at? Anything extreme?
It looks like something in contact with the plate and not a heat issue to me from the granular look. If it was overheat I’d expect broader features, or maybe a heat issue leading to contact transfers? It looks more like something transferring at contact points maybe?
is it possible that the top surface has a black coating that has been scratched off by the rear edge of the plates over time? My X1C’s heat bed had very similar marks just not yet white. So it could be normal wear that I wouldn’t be bothered about too much.
