Hi, I have a problem with the newer Bambu Studio. The earlier versions, when you click on the object, the white outline is thin and easy to see how close you are when merging parts. On the newer releases, this line is very wide and you cannot see how close you are getting the part. I was using an older V2. Studio but I was forced to upgrade the software. The machine would not work until I upgraded the software. Now I cannot use it because of this white outline is too wide. I would like to go back to what I was used too but as I said It demands to have the newer version. Can someone fix this white outline so it will be easier to use. I would love to download the older versions but I cannot find the download site. It tells me to go to github.com but cannot find any downloads This is for Windows 11. Thank you. James
The Assemble tool can be used in face-and-face or point-and-point modes to join parts precisely without relying on visual alignment:
Old Studio versions are at Releases · bambulab/BambuStudio · GitHub.
Scroll down to the end of the release notes for the version you want, then open Assets to find the installation file for your operating system.
Something worth thinking about that I do is where alignment is critical, rather than use the mouse to move and align the objects, I stay away from the build plate and model IMAGES and click on the individual parts with the global/Objects toggle with it in Objects mode. Select the objects in the Process box on the right. Right click objects, center, then move in the appropriate X/Y direction using the Move tool at the top
Thank you. Wonder why they didn’t just say Downloads? I had problems with the Canadian government website with their use of new words. Link is now Portal. For old guys it’s tough. ![]()
I haven’t tried the assembly tool. I will try it, I’m very slow at learning new things. Thank you! ![]()
