White Residue On First Layers

Hey, when I remove my print too fast from the bed, I will end up with white residue on my first layer, on my last 2 printers this would only result in the print deforming and not any layer color changes…

Big parts are easy to remove and after cooling off it leaves no residue sometimes, but if print a smaller part, it will not come off easily even after popping in the freezer for 5 mins, which can result in minor residues but still there which kinda annoys me.

I wash the bed with 99.99 Isopropyl Alcohol

A heat gun seems to some of the residue only

People have said its because of the part bending which causes the plastic to turn white, but this never happened on my old printers, is the adhesion too good?

This is kinda a harcore image when the bed is still hot and removing it by bending the plate, and waiting for it to cool and peel off.

Any solutions?

It seems to know where I last printed.

Clean the plate with hot water and dish soap. Some filaments like matte or silk filaments leave behind a residue.

This basic material can be enhanced with a wide range of additives such as **carbon fiber, wood fibers, metal particles, colors, graphene flakes, copolymer additions, and ** melt viscosity modifiers **. Simpler filaments are referred to as PLA, whereas more complex, additive-rich products are known as PLA+

I cleaned it with dish soap but it still has spots on the same place, the other side of the pei plate works fine so I will just use that lol…

did you ever resolve this? This is bambulab PETG-CF. It doesn’t do this with generic PETG-CF. yes, taking a heat gun to the bottom works but that’s ridiculous

Maybe? I got a ideamaker plate from aliexpress (same quality pei sheet in terms of the texture it gives with same depth) and I don’t think I have issues anymore. I tend to flex the plate as well instead of grabbing the model to remove it
