White streaks metallic filament

I’m using a P2S printer :

I’ve noticed a problem I can’t figure out.

There’s a sort of localized, completely random white streak.

It doesn’t seem to be related to any settings; I’ve encountered it on several configurations, several prints, and even in vase mode. There’s no pattern, so I’ve concluded it’s due to the filament. I’m using Kexcelled Metallic PLA (quite similar to the one from Bambou), and I only have the problem with the brown color.

I also notice that the mark does not go all the way around the piece, and yet it occurs on several layers… How is this possible?

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? A manufacturer’s defect? ​​A printing problem?

If I’m reading this correctly, then it’s not a regular filament, but it’s not Silk either - it’s sort of something in between. You will need specific settings for that. I’d suggest tweaking the settings so that the speed is more on the “silk” side.

The manufacturer states that the temperatures tend to be in the “silk” range - I’m thinking more about the speeds, too. A standard PLA profile will likely be too fast to prevent the color pigments from fading. Of course, it could also be the manufacturer’s fault for distributing the color pigments unevenly, but I would suggest trying a lower speed as described in the wiki:
