Who here are saving gift cards for the upcoming printer?

Do you think the new printer (“H2D” or whatever the new one is) would be available to purchase directly from Bambu or only through resellers like the X1E?

No idea but not buying any additional printers from Bambu until they clarify some things and take actions on others.

My points will only go to filament, parts, and accessories until they do.

This is essentially identical to this post.

You should go there as this is discussed a lot.

Yeah that’s 2000 posts long and I did search it. We could do with a sub topic thread…

I’ve tried, so help me I’ve tried… but every time I get one it’s like you gave an 8 year old $5 and told him to save it for college.

To answer your question, I think it will be directly from Bambu. That’s a complete guess though.

I was, but if it’s much over $3000, I’ll probably pass and just get another P1S or X1C unless the features are just mind blowing and I can’t live without it.

Haha I’m thinking the same - but for me the reason is, now that I try to design for everyone to be able to print the same (down to A1 mini), having a printer that most people don’t have seems not important. Still want one though

it should be, why wouldn’t be?
it would not be a good move to do it through resellers, because where i am the resellers is selling the X1C for $2050 outrageous ofc.

in both ways even if bambu lab decides to sell the H2D directly through their official store, and if the price is over $2000 i will pass…(personally speaking) only because they don’t have world wide shipping, so i have to pay extra unfair amount of $$ to get it.

That’s a fair point. I’ve been selling some of my stuff, so for me it’s the opposite. If the printer can do things other printers can’t, then it gives me an advantage over the multitude of other Etsy sellers that don’t have a printer like that. This is only assuming it has amazing features. And I’ve been very happy with my Bambu printers, from the A1 mini to the X1C and I feel like they can do pretty much anything I need them to do. So this new model is going to have to be pretty amazing for me to feel like it’s worth the money to me.

The new flagship printer looks exciting with the dual extruder and larger print bed, but I can’t imagine it will be cheap. I’m more excited about the possibility of P2 and X2 printers. Would love to see the A1 extruder upgrades (quick change nozzles and auto flow compensation) make there way to the core XY models.

I’m glad they last 10 years now (and I’ve used up all my 1 year expiry ones) just in case the next product can’t be purchased with gift cards (like X1E) or it’s not something I want.

Haha I would be excited to use a dual extruder machine to make some amazing bathroom towel clips and headphone stands and such for around the home… This my only use case if I have to be honest with myself. I’m tempted to give something like Etsy a go though (I hear the v spooler kit sells for over US$100 which is just mind blowing for me that there is such a market)

if they do that im not going to support them as much as i did  that would really suck. X1E are for compagny so its normal we dont see it on the website they are sold only by resellers i believe

Let’s hope they release at least one variant of the next gen machines targeted at consumers!

I know what you mean. I’ve designed some stuff that would take an insane amount of time to print in two colors using an X1C, but if I had a printer with dual extruders, it would only be a few hours. But if this thing comes out at something like $4500, I don’t think I can justify it, points or not. $4500 in points buys a lot of filament and another lesser printer.

There’s definitely some money to be had selling 3d models for sure.

Thanks, I needed a good excuse to buy a label printer! (so that the, maybe 8, shipping addresses I print look professional)

I’d think they’d prefer you do that.
