Ordered quite a bit of filament from Bambu Lab never had any issues. Always arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Got two orders in on the same day this week. One in a box, and one like this.
This has got to be FedEx damaging the original box, taping them up together, and relabeling it, right?
I have received damage shipments from FedEx in the past. When the shipment is damage, they have always put the container and contents together in another package to show how it was damaged.
If the three spools on the left were shipped like that, this is definitely Bambu Lab’s fault. Those spool boxes are not strong enough to survive shipping like that. Was the spool damaged or just the box?
I am not saying I don’t believe this statement. You are probably one of the lucky individuals who have awesome “last mile” delivery personnel, however, in the past few years, I, and most of my vendors and suppliers, have noticed a considerable drop in performance and quality of shipments from FedEx and others. Most notably, UPS. In the same time, USPS has actually gotten better at deliveries, based on my companies own experience and that of the previously mentioned vendors and suppliers.
Having been in the same address for the last 10 years, I can safely say that I’ve never seen Fedex repackage a shipment into another bigger box to show the damage of the original box. They instead just deliver the package as badly as it was damaged. And Fedex damages packages in much higher regularity than UPS. I also hardly ever get a damaged package from Amazon.
So my money is that this was a usual Fedex FUBAR operation.
Well, it seems FedEx handles damaged packages differently in different area. Regardless of where the damage occurred, you need to let both Bambu Labs and FedEx know about the issue.
