I purchased my X1 Carbon as part of the original kickstarter campaign and have been nothing but happy with the printer. I’ve had a few small issues along the way, but I think a few fundamental things separate Bambu from the Creality’s of the world. (BTW. I have 3 Creality printers; a CR-30, CR-10S Pro and a CR-10 Smart Pro)
Creality brings out new printers every two weeks it seems and at that point every previous printer doesn’t matter. I still have issues with my CR-10 Smart Pro, but Creality almost never releases firmware updates to fix anything … they just move on to the next thing.
What sets Banbu apart is their manufacturing quality, documentation and after sales support and updates. Bambu’s online documentation is amazingly comprehensive and keeps getting better. The best thing about Bambu for me has been their dedication to improving the software and firmware post release including fixing bug and adding new features.
Anyway, super impressed Bambu! Keep up the great work!
I share in your sentiment with regards to Creality…I have 2 of them, and E3V2 and a 3 month old E5Plus. E5P hasn’t worked right since new. They have issues and never want to solve the issue. They brow beat you till you just give up. I love my XC1 Carbon.and Bambu Lab.
I agree with what y’all say. I had an ANET and FLSUN (which have been decommed) but I also have the X1C w/ AMS alongside my MK3S+ and MINI+ and the X1C is a game changer regarding time from idea to model…it’s so fast.
I recently started using the Bambu X1C w/ AMS and I have to admit I’m impressed so far. My previous main printer was a Dremel Digilab 3D45 which I found superior in many ways to my backups, Ender 3 Pro & Ender 3 V2. That being said, I have a new go-to printer and with just a few prints under my belt, I feel like I still haven’t untapped its full potential. I wasn’t happy when I realized there was no profile for it in Cura, as I have become quite the Cura guru over the last year but the Bambu slicer seems to offer everything I need including the ability to pause at height without manually editing Gcode in a text editor. If I had to ask for something right now, it would be a profile for both Prusa & Cura slicers, and to see your filaments esp. PA-CF in stock instead of sold out.
I am a teacher looking to buy either the dremel 3D45 or the Bambu X1C. I only have chromebooks for my students which is why I am leaning dremel. Any insight you can offer?
As far as which printer is better, the Bambu X1 Carbon combo (with AMS) is by far a better printer and better deal for the money at the moment than Dremel Digilab 3D45. As for Chromebook compatibility, that might be trickier. I don’t use Chromebook but a quick Google search shows there are people who are making it work. Do you know if your Chromebooks have Intel or ARM processors? ARM processors seem to have less support than the Intel based Chromebooks. But where there’s a will, there’s a way. Maybe try a few slicers on the Chromebooks before you buy.
That was my impression as well. For a brief while during Covid I owned an Ender 5 Plus. By sheer numbers alone, there are probably more creality owners than any other brand. However, you wouldn’t know it from visiting their forum. It was like a desert there. Reps from creality would reply to questions posted there, but generally their answers were insipid, like they were quoting from an internal help database that was never good to begin with and had never been updated afterward either. As for users, there seemed to be a steady stream of new arrivals who would post their questions, grow discouraged, and then never return again.
Thank you for your reply! I believe they have intel. I will have to play around and see. I can always just use my teacher laptop and have the kids design on Tinkercad and then slice off my laptop. I am in a juvenile justice facility so that may just be a better option. (I am just trying to get them experience with 3D printing and CAD to maybe offer a better path for their future)
