Why can't I post in Bambu Lab AMS?

I have an X1 Carbon with an AMS. I’m having issues with the AMS. But I can’t post in the forum there.

Spend some time searching and reading the forum. It is quite likely your issue has been discussed and solved. While reading, you will increase your “trust” level to Basic, which will let you post a new topic.

It’s a defense against serial spammers.

I just ran into the same issue and I can understand the confusion.

Reading the information on “Trust” provided by Discobot says that at Trust level 0 users cannot:
" * Post more than 3 topics"

Which implies that they should be able to post up to 3 topics.

Whereas in actual fact, users can’t post ‘any’ new topics.

Well, except I was able to post one new topic, “Is the older PA-CF different from PLA-CF?”, and I could post this question–after I couldn’t post in AMS–so it’s pretty confusing, and not at all explained by “Understanding Discourse levels”.

Trust level 0 does let you post in existing topics, it does not let you create new topics.

I think the trust level descriptions from the Discourse blog are for the default forum software configuration. The Bambu forum admins have the ability to adjust some of the limits. I seem to recall New users posting in more than three topics.

I totally missed the fact that you actually created this topic, so I guess I had not yet finished my coffee that morning.

Your activity shows
May 13, 5:14 PM You created the PA-CF topic.
May 13, 6:28 PM You replied to the PA-CF topic
May 13, 6:31 PM You started another new topic.

The same date, at 10:59 PM, you also created this topic, but scroll bar on the right of the post (desktop version) shows the topic as created on May 14. Maybe time zones are a factor??

I would have looked at your status before sending that first reply on May 14, 7:58 AM. If you were shown as a Basic user at that time I would have responded differently.

I can only guess that you reached Basic level on the 13th, and the daily post count and the trust level databases were out of sync.

If it’s the same as in the other main categories (X1, P1,…) posting doesn’t work because you have to choose one of the subcategories first

It’s a confusing UI issue and I hope the discourse software will fix this soon

Yes! Going back, I see the top level of dimmed out, but if I pick e.g. “general discussion”, then it is not.
Thanks!
