People always talk about using PLA as a support interface material for PETG or PETG as a support interface material for PLA. If this is true, then why does the info for the PLA support interface material show that you cannot use the PLA support interface material for PETG?
I am going to try it anyways and report back, but I’m just curious if anyone has tried this before and had any success.
Because they don’t use the support material for PLA, they use PLA

I would think it should work fine - a good reason not to use it for PETG is it’s twice the price forhalf the weight, so actually 4x more expensive. But indeed try it out - always good to know.
PETG and PLA don’t bond together. On one hand that makes it ideal print support interface material. On the other hand it is very difficult to print on a material that does not bond to the lower layer…
I have used PETG as support interface layer for a PLA print but it is alway difficult to get the layers to adhere properly. I alwas get some surface defects on the interface from this.
