Why does it always printing in the center of the plate?

I’m a resin printer and new to filament but the auto arrange system in Bambu Studio always places everything in the middle of the print plate (X1C). Is that normal?

With resin, you generally move the parts all over the plate so you don’t “burn in” the same spot over and over which can fog the print plate (and then the laser won’t reach the resin as well).

While that issue doesn’t apply to the X1C I am wondering if always printing in the center of the plate wears out the film on the plate faster?

The center of the bed “should” have the evenest level of heat.

Make sense, but no early wear and tear issues on the film on the plate?

no but a scraper can damage the plate

The bed is a consumable.

It’s just the default programming.
Press CTRL-A on the plate and move your models to different position to avoid prematurely wearing on the same areas of the plate.

To be fair, I’ve had my PIP for about a year now and I have yet to wear any plates out.

The center is also the most flat. The warping is usually worst at the edges.
