Hello. Have you ever looked at or touched the extruder motor with your hand or finger? Please be careful. My extruder motor is too hot to move your hand both during printing and in standby. Is this a problem? If anyone knows, please tell me.

I can’t be certain but given the application, the location and purpose of the motor I suspect it is rated to at least 100°C similar to the requirement in an ordinary automotive engine compartment. While it adds to cost and likely reduces electrical efficiency, there is nothing unusual about a small electric motor designed to operate indefinitely at burning hot (to the finger) temperature. A consistently hot motor case actually points to good thermal management that finds the case acting as a sort of heat sink protecting the coils from overheating to then liberate the heat to the environment.
