I recently used the ‘ludicrous speed mode’ for a print job where high quality wasn’t necessary. The entire process was completed at this ultra-fast speed. However, this has left me puzzled. Why doesn’t the printer always perform the initial setup tasks (excluding K calibration) at ludicrous speed? It seems obvious that these steps, like wiping the nozzle and probing the bed, should be quick regardless of the print speed. Why slow down the setup just because the printing is at a slower pace?
