Why is everyone out of AMS units?

I need to do some 8 color parts, and everyone is out of it. Bambu Lab says “in stock” but then “ships before August 9th”.

Well… I love a conspiracy theory so here goes… last summer through fall Bambu announced three new products, P1P, A1 Mini and A1. So if tradition keeps up, wouldn’t we expect to see new announcements around now and November? Perhaps one of them might be a new and improved AMS unit. Just sayin…

If you live in the U.K. it is likely because BL hates the U.K.

Almost all PLA Basic and Matte are out of stock. PETG Transparent only has clear available, most of ABS is out.

Weirdly all PLA metal are in stock, I will be grabbing them because usually only have one in stock at any one time.

All the electronics from MakerSupply I want are out of stock.

Hot ends are all out of stock unless I want 0.8mm nozzles, I don’t, I want 0.2, 0.4 & 0.6. You may ask does he want them for the A1 or the P1S, no, I want them for both and the same lack of stock is true fr both series.

Reusable spools are out of stock for another month. But good news, after I realised they are £10+ each, I decided they are far too much and unjustifiably so.

I don’t want another printer just yet, lucky as most are out of stock for another month.

The list of disappointments goes on, but, I think you get the point.

I placed an order on 7/1 for an AMS unit and it shipped yesterday. Just posting for reference.

It is quite common now for products in high demand.
Production can’t keep up so orders are dealt with on a FIFO basis.
The shipping delay is either due to the local shipping hub being out of stock or, for direct shipping, the warehouse in china prioritising P1S combo deals and replacements over additional units sold to customers.

As for the filament Bambu just su(ks - sorry but can’t say it any nicer as their idea of satisfying customers here is way below the average.
