Why is the X1E so expensive?

I was looking at some of the Bambu printers and costs and found out that the X1E costs 2k. I was confused about things knowing the X1C costs 1.4k. I checked the stats and the X1E doesn’t seem better than the X1C. Anybody know why it so much more expensive but the same thing?

Heated chamber, ethernet, better filtration, better wifi, better after sales support.

The real answer…they can because it says bambu and no other bambus have a heated chamber.

You are correct; it is much higher priced than the underlying components would normally justify. However, that’s not where you’re paying. The X1E was marketed through Bambu’s channel partner program when it was launched. Those are independent dealers who couldn’t afford to support the product at the margins that the A1, P1, and X1 would yield. That, combined with the fact that the X1E is not geared toward consumers but rather the enterprise engineering market—where a wired connection is needed—meant Bambu needed a network of resellers who could support those customers, which Bambu clearly cannot. So, what you’re paying for is partly due to what the market will bear and what the channel partners need to make it worth their while.

Also inflating the price is the fixed costs for the additional skus existing spread over fewer units sold for these skus
